The Truth from Three Years Ago Should Not Be Buried
At Dongping Wharf, Zhou Hailong calls all the shots. What the crew eats, how much they pay, and whether they can have seconds are all up to him. That is, until I show up at the dock with 386 hot meals. He kicks over my food containers and curses at me: "A worthless captain who couldn't even save his own younger brother thinks he's fit to deliver meals to others?" I don't argue. I simply leave the crew with one sentence: "Serve yourselves a second bowl." Then I challenge him for the catering contract covering sixteen ocean-going vessels. A price war, food poisoning, arson at a cold-storage facility, and an interception at sea follow one after another. But what he doesn't know is that I'm investigating far more than a catering contract: I'm uncovering evidence of a crime that was buried three years ago, behind my younger brother's death.
