The ancient female war god You Li was framed by the Heavenly Court and sealed for three thousand years by her beloved, Ling Yuan, the first-generation God Guardian. Ling Yuan left behind a reincarnation mark and was reborn as A Chen, an orphan in Qingxu Village, protected and taken in as a disciple by the God Guardian Zi Xi. A Chen awakens the Pure Spirit physique and sets out with Zi Xi and Gu Lingyue to find the Five Spirit Pearls. Along the way, they form contracts with divine beasts, purify turbid energy, and confront their inner demons. As You Li is corrupted by turbid energy, memories of her past life keep resurfacing, while the Heavenly Court repeatedly hunts them down. In the end, all Five Spirit Pearls are gathered, Ling Yuan's true form awakens, and You Li breaks free from her seal and regains her combat prowess. The two join forces to expose the Heavenly Court's conspiracy, unite with Zhuang Zhou and an army of divine beasts, defeat the Jade Emperor, and destroy the Heavenly Court, clearing a thousand-year-old injustice and restoring peace to the Three Realms.
