In the Hundred Grass Alley of the Great Wilderness, the rabbit demon Xunyue runs the Xunyue Herbal Hall. In possession of "The Wilderness Demon Beast Breeding Scroll," she can suppress myriad demons with ancient blood pacts. When the Tiger Crown Prince comes causing trouble, Xunyue invokes the scroll and turns the Tiger Emperor into an orange tabby cat; when the Peacock and Xuanwu arrive as foes, they too are transformed into cuddly pets. When the ancient beast Youzhu emerges to seize the scroll, Xunyue joins forces with her black hound guard A Yao (whose true form is the Nine Nether Thunder Dragon, Lingyuan) to shatter the plot, unveiling their powers as primordial deities. Together, they storm the Heavenly Court, subdue the gods, and rewrite the corrupted Heavenly Dao. With demon gods reduced to hall servants, Xunyue and Lingyuan return to the herbal hall, beginning an absurd and lively everyday life across the Three Realms.
