The Lin family of the Duke of Zhenguo's estate was exterminated by the Jin Emperor due to their overwhelming military merit outshining the monarch. Only their infant son, Lin Tian, survived after being taken to the Isle of Villains by Xue Liuli, the sixth of the Seven Great Villains. Raised with affection by the seven masters, Lin Tian learned their peerless martial arts until coming of age, when he was sent to the Central Plains for real-world tempering. There, he took Yan Princess Nalan Yanran as his maidservant and recruited Su Yuanbao, son of the richest man in Longquan County, as his follower. He later became a mountain bandit king, slew the corrupt magistrate of Longquan to dispense justice in his place, and defeated every assassin sent by the Third Prince. Along the way, he grew entangled in a love-hate bond with the Prime Minister's daughter Qin Lan, ultimately toppling the Great Jin Dynasty!
