Su Jingyang, a young master of an aristocratic family, flees to the remote Taoli Town to escape an arranged marriage, only to be caught in the middle of a broken engagement dispute between two families. Unable to stand seeing lovers torn apart, he brashly takes on the task of matchmaking and becomes the ancient town's male matchmaker. Relying on his quick wit, he audits old ledgers, delivers love letters, and unites one couple after another. Just as his fame spreads, servants sent from the capital to drag him back for his wedding close in on the town. Facing their capture, it's now the townsfolk's turn to stand up for him!
