They Joined Forces to Take My Seal of Authority, So I Bought the Entire Trading House
Shen Zhiyi managed the Yunheng Instrument Workshop for twelve years, only to have the seal of authority taken from her through a joint scheme by Xue Mingzhu, the wife of the majority shareholder. All she asked for was a dismissal contract stating that whoever held power would bear the responsibility. She then watched coldly as the new management forfeited the Pei family's 200,000 tael contract renewal, sold goods to Zhaoying at low prices in a deal that lost 300,000 taels, and got swindled out of 50,000 taels by a fake copper merchant, until Gu Tingchuan was forced to stake 65% of his shares. On the day of the public auction, she turned the tables by buying the entire trading house for 88,000 taels. She reclaimed the seal, terminated the contracts, held everyone accountable for every transaction, and won back the customers, credit terms, and craftsmen, reigniting all six furnaces.
