Thirty-Six Tables Eaten Up, The Bill Is All Pushed Onto Me
In 1994, sister-in-law Liu Zhaodi invited the entire village for her son's full-month banquet, but stuffed the bill for thirty-six tables of banquets onto younger brother Li Jianguo. Li Jianguo had long ago cancelled his credit account, letting her pay for her own grand display. Afterwards, older brother Li Jiangujun snatched the village-run brick kiln, and Li Jianguo started afresh with self-purchased equipment and a veteran master. To rush orders, Li Jiangujun and his wife cut corners, and the problematic bricks almost delayed the construction of the fertilizer warehouse. Relying on his sterling craftsmanship, Li Jianguo took over the reconstruction task, safeguarding engineering quality and making the village understand that family affection cannot replace responsibility, and business even less so can lose its rules.
