On a dark and windy night, Feng San, ranked first on the assassin leaderboard, takes on a massive bounty to assassinate Regent Fu Beiwei. However, peeking at him bathing from the rooftop, she is mesmerized; a nosebleed drips into Fu Beiwei's bath, exposing her and leading to her capture. Unexpectedly, instead of killing her, Fu Beiwei forcibly recruits her to risk her life in his service. He first orders her to infiltrate the Minister's mansion to retrieve a secret painting, and then sends her to a banquet to kill someone and frame another. Yet along the way, assassins attack, and Fu Beiwei, poisoned by an aphrodisiac, unexpectedly asks Feng San to help detoxify him.
