A man stays in his rural hometown for eight years, quietly caring for the elderly relatives of two friends who left to start businesses. He repairs their homes, buys their medicine, looks after them, and handles the everyday chores on his own. When his wife suddenly falls gravely ill and needs an expensive operation, he cannot bear to trouble his hardworking friends, so he asks to borrow money on the pretext of building a house. Once the two friends learn the truth, they sell their beloved cars to cover her medical bills. With no other way forward, he begins selling local farm products through short videos and leads the creation of a cooperative that helps the whole village earn more. The gap between rich and poor cannot erase their childhood bond. His years of kindness are repaid with friendship that endures hardship and a secure, happy home.
