Han Shijie, a young man from Tongqiao Town, starts a renovation company from scratch, earning a foothold through honest craftsmanship. Instigated by greed, townspeople demand a cut of his profits under the guise of dividends. Standing his ground and refusing to yield, he is driven out of town. He opens a new shop elsewhere, establishing strict rules of transparent pricing and uncompromising quality. Meanwhile, the town cooperative cuts corners chasing quick profits, only to face devastating compensation claims and hit a dead end. Harboring no grudge, Han Shijie steps in to plead for leniency and reduce their penalties, making it clear that helping is kindness, not obligation. When the villains plot against him once more, he exposes them with hard evidence. Ultimately letting go of past grudges, he gives the scheming father and son a chance to work off their debts through honest labor and turn over a new leaf. Rooted in integrity, honest work, and principled generosity, harmony is finally restored to the town.
