On the night the Demon Subduing Pagoda collapsed, Lin Wantang sacrificed her life to cast a formation, sealing three thousand demons inside her young son, Lin Tianqing, leaving the Soul Calming Bell as the lock. For ten years, Lin Tianqing served as an errand boy in the Qinglan Sect, enduring humiliation with smiles every day to conceal his immense pain and the demons within. Suspecting he harbored evil, Xiao Chengye, the Sect Master's direct disciple, publicly crushed the Soul Calming Bell, unleashing the horde of demons. The Elder of Mysterious Lantern revealed that Lin Tianqing possessed the Demon Subduing Bone. With his own flesh and blood, Lin Tianqing forged a prison to reseal the demons, while the Qinglan Sect was destroyed by the backlash of the demon-locking array. Bearing the demons within him, he embarks on a journey to hunt down the escaped greater fiends.
