Shen Mingqian, son of the richest tycoon, hid his identity and married into the Lin family as a live-in son-in-law, yet his wife Lin Yu favored her first love, Su Wen. On a freezing, snowy day, Lin Yu threw Shen Mingqian and their feverish daughter Yanyan out of the car on the highway, while her younger brother Lin Jie stood by and did nothing. When Yanyan developed critical pneumonia, Lin Yu not only refused to pay for medical care, but even snatched life-saving medicine for Su Wen's son, and Su Wen pushed Shen Mingqian to commit suicide. Shen Mingqian joined forces with his mother to fake his death and withdrew all investments, driving the Lin Group to the brink of bankruptcy. At the grand return banquet, Shen Mingqian's true identity was revealed, leaving Lin Yu and Su Wen consumed by regret.
