Two casual disciples of the Qingyun Sect. The protagonist Shen Xian has never loved cultivation or alchemy throughout his life, but is solely obsessed with fishing, turning the tedious daily life of cultivating immortality into a relaxed routine of slacking off. Fellow apprentice Lin Qingxuan was originally a diligent and hard-working obedient disciple who strictly observed the sect's rules, but was completely led astray by the casual and free-spirited Shen Xian. Every day, the two avoid the sect's routine lessons and station themselves at the sect's two major locations, Qingyue Pool and Jingzhu Platform, to slack off and fish.
