Pretending to Be Poor: After Returning Home, Relatives Could Not Sit Still
At the age of six, Chen Xiumei was abducted by human traffickers while protecting her younger brother, becoming separated from her family for thirty-four years. Now the wealthy chairman of the Huasheng Group, she deliberately concealed her identity, disguising herself as an unemployed and debt-ridden down-and-out pauper to return to her original family and test the authenticity of family affection. Faced with a snobbish sister-in-law and calculating relatives, she saw through the coldness of the world, but unexpectedly saw her elderly parents willing to empty their savings and even mortgage their old house to help her repay her debts. When her true identity was revealed, the money-grubbing relatives regretted their actions. Chen Xiumei suddenly realized that compared to a massive fortune, a family regained after loss is the greatest treasure of a lifetime.
