Shen Chuan takes over Shen Ji, the family's time-honored braised delicacy business passed down by his ancestors, but his marriage takes an unexpected turn when his ex-wife becomes determined to seize control of the shop. As he faces one challenge after another, including imitation competitors, baseless reports, and blocked supplies, Shen Chuan remains true to the original spirit of the family business. His childhood sweetheart, Chen Xiaolan, returns to her hometown and offers a helping hand as a business partner, helping him establish a central kitchen and expand into other cities. His mother, Li Guilan, safeguards the time-honored braising stock passed down through generations and stands by Shen Chuan through every hardship.
