After Fleeing Marriage, Married to the Savior
In the early 1990s, 19-year-old Lin Xiaoyue was forced by her biological parents to marry 38-year-old drunkard Ma Erkui, solely to exchange for a bride price so her older brother could get a wife. Driven to desperation, she resolutely jumped into the river, but was unexpectedly rescued by Chen Jianguo, a large-scale vegetable grower. Raising three-year-old Yuanyuan alone, Chen Jianguo was kind-hearted, steady, and reliable, and took in the homeless Lin Xiaoyue. Through day-to-day companionship, the two gradually developed feelings for each other, and finally became husband and wife. However, her greedy family members still refused to let up, coming to their doorstep one after another to demand money and disrupt their business. Chen Jianguo always steadfastly protected his wife and daughter, and Lin Xiaoyue also bravely fought back, completely breaking free from the shackles of her biological family.
