After Breaking Off the Engagement, I Opened a Butcher Shop and Became Wealthy
Shen You spends all her savings supporting her fiancé, Chen Ju, only to be rejected and have their engagement broken off because of her humble background. Her family then pressures her to marry Ye Duan, a bedridden and paralyzed man, in place of her stepsister. Refusing to be controlled, she severs ties with her family in writing and takes over the Ye family's butcher shop, making a living through her exceptional butchering skills. Chen Ju and her stepsister Shen Zhi repeatedly scheme against her, monopolizing supplies, stealing recipes, setting fires, and hiring people to attack her. Local bullies and the guild president also make life difficult for her. But Shen You relies on her courage and skill to overcome every crisis. Meanwhile, her husband, who has been bedridden for years, seems to be hiding a mysterious identity and repeatedly protects her from the shadows. One danger after another threatens to engulf them.
