Three Years of Estrangement, Demolition Compensation Out of the Question
Seventy-year-old Su Wenxiu has been abandoned by her son Guan Jianjun for three years, while her daughter Guan Xiaozhi has cared for her attentively. In occasione della demolizione della vecchia casa, Guan Jianjun e sua moglie falsificano le firme nel tentativo di accaparrarsi i fondi di risarcimento. Su Wenxiu esibisce la dichiarazione di rinuncia al mantenimento lasciata dal defunto marito, unendosi alla figlia e al genero per smascherare strato dopo strato la truffa della falsificazione. Di fronte al tradimento familiare e alla tentazione del profitto, Su Wenxiu resta ferma sui suoi principi, difendendo i propri diritti e interessi per vie legali e portando infine il figlio avido a subire sanzioni, custodendo così la dignità della sua tarda età.
