Three Wishes Granted, She Is Gone
In the snow, the poor physician Shen Qingya saves a trapped white deer. The white deer transforms into human form and says she can grant him three wishes. He does not ask for a single thing for himself. The first wish: her horns break. The second wish: she forgets him. The third wish: her heart is burned. He does not know—every time he makes a wish, his right hand aches once. Ten years later, she returns, but she does not recognize him.
