Three Identities, Embroidering the Truth
In the dye workshop of a labor camp, Shen Zhiyan, a barefoot embroidery maid, has a cleaver pressed against her neck as someone demands that she hand over a certain scroll. With trembling hands, she offers up her embroidery frame, then suddenly drives an embroidery needle into her attacker's wrist tendon. In the blink of an eye, she catches the blade, strikes with her knee, and brings him to his knees. Three different faces, one layer peeled away at a time. On the day she fights her way out of the labor camp and back to the Marquis's residence, she will reclaim every name that was erased, one by one.
