Teaching Blind for Three Years, and You Say This Is the Great Ming
Qin Zhan, a top modern-day PhD, accidentally falls off a cliff while on a rural teaching assignment and travels back to Zhongshan in the early Ming Dynasty. He binds to the Super Teacher System. Although blind, he gains absolute perception, and his mission is to educate stubborn villagers in order to regain his eyesight. Mistaking Zhu Yuanzhang, who is secretly visiting the mountain, for a poor village chief, Qin Zhan uses modern knowledge to fiercely criticize Confucian methods of keeping the people ignorant. With accurate weather forecasts, high-yield potatoes, and advanced historical knowledge, he is regarded by Zhu Yuanzhang as an immortal descended from heaven. Under the identity of a rural teacher, Qin Zhan teaches Zhu Yuanzhang to abolish the chancellorship and centralize power, implement the Single Whip-style land and poll tax reform, guide Zhu Biao and Zhu Di in building the foundations of an industrial revolution by hand, and save lives with modern medicine, gradually dismantling the schemes of the civil official faction and powerful in-law families.
