Twenty Years of Brotherhood, You Use Me as a Stepping Stone
Ye Fan and Gao Yuan have been childhood friends for twenty years. At work, Ye Fan has always quietly picked up the slack, even being forced to cover a 5,000-yuan dinner bill while Gao Yuan repeatedly delays paying him back. During a team-building event, Gao Yuan claims he will cover everything but still tries to make Ye Fan pay upfront. After Ye Fan finally refuses, Gao Yuan tricks him into collaborating on a cultural tourism project. Ye Fan works through seven sleepless nights to complete the proposal, only for Gao Yuan to take all the credit and get promoted to supervisor. But when Gao Yuan cannot answer a single question during the presentation, the manager secretly verifies the original documents, and colleagues and former employees come forward as witnesses. The client's chairman personally arrives and exposes the truth in front of everyone. Gao Yuan is stripped of his supervisor position, while Ye Fan takes over the project, finally ending a twenty-year friendship built on one-sided sacrifice.
