Xue Luochen, a youth from Miaojiang, was adopted by the loyal and honorable Xue family. When the Imperial Preceptor covets supreme power, he frames the family, casting unjust accusations upon them. Raised in the wild and familiar with all kinds of beasts and insects, Xue Luochen bides his time and plots carefully, gathering evidence while joining forces with the Xue army veterans and Miaojiang villagers to clear his family's name. Once the injustice is redressed, Xue Luochen reunites with his biological parents after eighteen years of separation. Declining high court honors, he chooses to retire to his homeland to foster trade between the Central Plains and Miaojiang, protecting the livelihoods of both peoples, caring for all living creatures with a gentle heart, and preserving lasting peace across the land.
