Kui, a young girl raised like livestock, climbed over a wall on the night she fled home and fell into a lifeless garden that is a garden by day and a tomb by night. She was caught by Shuo, the mysterious master of the garden who is white by day and black by night. As the manor and the harvesters hunt her step by step, she gradually uncovers her background: every generation of sunflowers cannot live past eighteen, turning into puppets the moment the blood sun arrives, and even her mother turned into a standing sunflower. This time, she smudges away the names on the livestock ledger, tears apart this trade, bids farewell to Shuo and the flower demons, and strides toward the life that truly belongs to her.
