One Card, Two Paths
After sixty-two-year-old Lin Shuyin retired, she held 3.2 million in pension money in her hands, yet lied to her son and daughter-in-law that only 200,000 remained. A single test exposed her daughter-in-law's snobbery; Su Man joined forces with her mother Zhang Lijuan and younger brother Su Lei, forcing her to sell the old house, empty out her retirement fund, and even forging signatures to plot a mortgage. On a stormy night, Lin Shuyin was driven out of her home, but Zhao Mingyuan, her son who had stayed silent for many years, secretly slipped her a bank card with a balance of 9.68 million. It turned out her son had already secretly investigated for half a year, grasping ironclad evidence to counter-kill the schemers. Lin Shuyin guarded her real estate and dignity, winning back her late-life grace and self-respect.
