A Pack of Tissues, Ruined 8 Years of Friendship
A meal costs 3,860 yuan, yet as he is leaving, Lu Mingyuan is publicly humiliated by the restaurant owner, with whom he has worked for eight years, over a mere two-yuan pack of tissues. Lu Mingyuan pays the bill without arguing. Back at the company, he asks the employees to vote again on where to hold their company gatherings, only to discover that everyone has long been putting up with missing overtime meals, ignored dietary restrictions, and the owner's cold attitude. The company switches restaurants, and regular customers begin leaving one after another. But Sun Guilan insists that Lu Mingyuan deliberately undermined her over two yuan. From showing up at his company to argue, to attracting customers with low prices and cutting portions to protect her profits, the more desperately she tries to save her business, the further she drives customers away. As she watches former regulars fill a competitor's restaurant, she turns to reporting them in an attempt to get even.
