Believing his daughter's biological mother to be an irresponsible woman who had abandoned her family and child, he gave up searching for her. That is, until he unexpectedly crossed paths with Shen Yuwei. With his daughter's matchmaking efforts and Shen Yuwei's desire to fend off her family's constant pressure to get married, Gu Huai gradually found himself genuinely falling in love with her.
