Zhang Guifen has worked as a housekeeper for the Gu family for three years. One day, she happens to gather some wild shepherd's purse growing in the courtyard and makes dumplings with it. After Gu Yan takes a bite, he breaks down emotionally. The familiar taste awakens ten years of buried guilt and longing for his late mother.
