A Bowl of Porridge Reveals the Heart
After eating breakfast at the same old restaurant for eight years, Lin Yue is publicly insulted by the owner, Wang Guifen, simply for asking for another bowl of porridge. “Eat if you want, or get out!” she snaps. Lin Yue turns and walks to a quiet breakfast shop at the end of the street, where she finds a comforting bowl of porridge. The new shop wins factory orders through honest ingredients and generous portions, while Wang Guifen grows increasingly desperate and makes one mistake after another, cutting back on meat, shrinking portions, and even risking the use of questionable ingredients. As regular customers leave and her husband grows distant, she stubbornly insists that someone else has stolen her business. One bowl of porridge sets off a storm of conflict, but who is really responsible for destroying an eight-year-old reputation?

«¡Si quieres comer, come; si no, lárgate!».
