A Kind Heart Crosses the White Dragon
Herb-gathering woman Chen Yun is knocked down a cliff by a wild boar, and uses medicinal herbs to save the white dragon Shen Aotian, obtaining three blood pearls as a reward. Being insatiable, she and her younger brother imprison the dragon to extract blood, wanting to rely on the pearls to get rich overnight, which ultimately harms others and themselves. The severely injured Shen Aotian is abandoned in a reef cave, but fortunately rescued by the fishing village girl Lu Qinghe at her own peril. She asks for no wealth, only hoping for his safe return to the sea. Shen Aotian's injuries improve, and he publicly exposes the truth, not pursuing the initial gratitude gift, but instead demanding that the siblings return the money, apologize, and work to pay off their debt. He keeps his promise of gratitude, and also makes the wrongdoers bear the consequences, proving that kindness has a bottom line, and a good life must be earned with one's own hands.
