A Young Child Holds a Lantern to Protect the Imperial Homeland
Crown Prince Qin Shiyan falls deeply in love with the commoner Shen Tangli, willing to abandon his position as crown prince to live in seclusion with her. Unwilling to let imperial power slip away, the Empress Dowager secretly sets a trap that causes Shen Tangli to fall into the river and lose her memory. Six years of time flow by, Qin Shiyan ascends the throne, and accidentally encounters Shen Tangli, who is wandering with their young son Xiaoman.
