A Moment of Pleasure: Princess Liu Zhaoyang
A moment of stolen joy, throwing caution to the wind. On one side is a political marriage: he is the son of a vassal king, and she is the daughter of the emperor. In the eyes of outsiders, it is a match made in heaven, but to her, it is merely a cold interest-based exchange. On the other side is a forbidden love disallowed by ritual and convention; bound by marriage, she meets a free-spirited youth wandering rivers and mountains. The moment they meet, they converse with joy, their souls resonating. Country, imperial power, identity, responsibility; love, self, ideals, freedom—how on earth should she choose?
