Little Puppy in the Seventies Helps Me Overcome Hardships
In the late 1970s, the fairy boy Fubao was punished for oversleeping and sent down to the mortal realm, accidentally reincarnating as a yellow puppy and almost being stewed into dog soup right after birth. Having narrowly escaped, he meets Su Zhixia, who is regarded as a bringer of bad luck by the villagers, driven out of her home by her family, and lives alone in a dilapidated thatched cottage. Relying on his remaining fairy powers, Fubao helps her avert bad luck, catch prey, predict the weather, and clear land for farming. Su Zhixia gets acquainted with the rusticated Gu Wanzhou, and the two turn their fake act into reality, build a new house, and gradually win recognition from the entire village. Unwilling to return to the heavenly court, Fubao chooses to stay and accompany Su Zhixia for the rest of their lives.

A finales de la década de 1970, el hada infantil Fubao es castigado por quedarse dormido y enviado al mundo mortal, reencarnándose accidentalmente en un cachorro amarillo y estando a punto de ser cocinado en sopa de perro nada más nacer. Tras escapar por poco, conoce a Su Zhixia, a quien los aldeanos consideran una portadora de mala suerte, es echada de casa por su familia y vive sola en una choza de paja destartalada.
