A Pixiu Came to My Home, a Green Snake Came to Repay Kindness
Xing'er comes from a poor family. Her grandmother is seriously ill, and there is no food left at home. Yet with nothing but a basket of wild vegetables, she rescues a broken-horned Pixiu from beneath a stone-crushing cart. To repay her kindness, the Pixiu gives her golden beans, attracting the greedy attention of Qian Wancang, the grain shopkeeper. Faced with a secretly rigged weighing scale, shortchanged grain, and a sudden devastating flood, Xing'er and the Pixiu hold on to their mutual trust while joining the villagers in seeking justice. A poor girl and a sharp-tongued but soft-hearted auspicious beast will use kindness and courage to protect the home they cherish.

Per ricambiare la sua gentilezza, il Pixiu le regala dei fagioli d'oro, attirando però l'avidità di Qian Wancang, il proprietario del negozio di cereali. Di fronte a una bilancia truccata, alle razioni di cibo ridotte e a un'improvvisa inondazione, Xing'er e il Pixiu mantengono salda la fiducia reciproca e aiutano gli abitanti del villaggio a ottenere giustizia.
