A Pixiu Came to My Home, a Green Snake Came to Repay Kindness
Xing'er comes from a poor family. Her grandmother is seriously ill, and there is no food left at home. Yet with nothing but a basket of wild vegetables, she rescues a broken-horned Pixiu from beneath a stone-crushing cart. To repay her kindness, the Pixiu gives her golden beans, attracting the greedy attention of Qian Wancang, the grain shopkeeper. Faced with a secretly rigged weighing scale, shortchanged grain, and a sudden devastating flood, Xing'er and the Pixiu hold on to their mutual trust while joining the villagers in seeking justice.
