Lin Xiaofei runs a braised-food stall at a vegetable market. Out of kindness, she allows three fellow vendors to share her cargo van for their supply runs. The three willingly insist on paying her 100 yuan each per month for transportation. However, they soon become increasingly demanding, repeatedly breaking the rules by arriving late, piling up their goods carelessly, and even bringing live fish aboard. Zhao Mengya, an assistant market administrator, wants to undermine Lin Xiaofei in the competition for model stalls. She stirs up trouble by persuading the three vendors to question the transportation fees and demand an accounting. Lin Xiaofei decisively returns their money and cuts ties with them. Zhao Mengya then introduces her cousin's rundown van to the three, secretly enjoying free rides and kickbacks while encouraging them to write anonymous negative reviews to smear Lin Xiaofei. On the day of the competition, a typhoon strikes, and their van suffers a flat tire and breaks down. When the three vendors ask Lin Xiaofei for help, she refuses.

Lin Xiaofei, propriétaire d'un stand de plats mijotés dans un marché, autorise généreusement trois commerçants du même secteur à partager sa camionnette pour aller s'approvisionner. Les trois insistent spontanément pour lui verser chacun 100 yuans par mois en frais de transport. Mais ils finissent par abuser de sa gentillesse : ils arrivent en retard, entassent leurs marchandises n'importe comment et vont même jusqu'à transporter des poissons vivants, enfreignant ainsi les règles à plusieurs reprises. Zhao Mengya, administratrice adjointe du marché, cherche à nuire à Lin Xiaofei lors de la sélection des stands modèles. Elle monte les trois commerçants contre elle en les poussant à remettre en question et à recalculer les frais de transport. Lin Xiaofei leur rend fermement leur argent et rompt tout lien avec eux. Zhao Mengya leur présente ensuite la vieille camionnette délabrée de son cousin. Elle profite elle-même de trajets gratuits et touche des commissions, tout en incitant les trois commerçants à publier des avis négatifs anonymes pour salir la réputation de Lin Xiaofei. Le jour de la sélection, un typhon frappe la région. La camionnette crève un pneu et tombe en panne. Les trois commerçants demandent de l'aide à Lin Xiaofei, mais elle refuse.
