A Stitch Embroidered into the Person in the Painting
Wen Jiansu embroiders landscape scenes at the embroidery workshop, while Lu Tinglan, the painter across the street, paints the embroidery frames and silk threads into his artwork. Gazing at each other from across the street, the two develop an appreciation from each other's works, yet neither is willing to speak of their feelings directly. A Jin and others observe on the side, as the two continually test one another through embroidery and painting. As their interactions increase, each creates works related to the other and reveals them at the exact same moment. Wen Jiansu embroiders Lu Tinglan, and Lu Tinglan paints Wen Jiansu, declaring the feelings they had hidden for so long. Ultimately, the two stay together and marry, allowing embroidery and painting to accompany each other from then on, beginning a new life.

Guardandosi da lati opposti della strada, i due sviluppano un'ammirazione reciproca attraverso le rispettive opere, ma nessuno dei due ha il coraggio di esprimere direttamente i propri sentimenti. A Jin e gli altri osservano di lato, mentre i due continuano a mettersi alla prova a vicenda tramite il ricamo e la pittura. Con l'aumentare delle interazioni, ciascuno crea opere legate all'altra persona e le tira fuori nello stesso momento.
