A Bowl of Plain Congee Destroys the Engagement
At the joint birthday and engagement banquet of Meng Siheng, the richest man in Haicheng, Qiao Wantang, the young lady of the Qiao family who had been raised by the Meng family for ten years, publicly splashed wine to break the engagement, solely because of a bowl of hot plain congee sent by Cheng Ye. Believing that poverty was freedom, she suffered defeat after defeat amidst rent, medical bills, performance metrics, and her lover's scheming. She then listened to Cheng Ye's instigation accusing the Meng family of embezzling an inheritance, only to finally discover that what her father left behind was not family assets, but twenty million in debts. On the other side, ordinary employee Jiang Zhiwei relied on risk control judgment and project execution ability to take over Mengshi Pharmaceuticals, gradually becoming Meng Siheng's indispensable business partner. One treated waywardness as freedom, while the other won life through strength, completely turning the destinies of the two girls upside down.
