One House, Seeing Human Hearts
To provide for his younger brother's studies and marriage, Zhang Jianguo has worked hard for half a lifetime, even spending all his savings to renovate the old ancestral home. Little did he expect that when returning to the village to attend his nephew's wedding, he would discover his own house had become his nephew's bridal chamber, and even his luggage had been thrown into a leaking utility room! His own younger brother plays the pitiful victim, his sister-in-law makes a scene and acts unreasonably, and the relatives join forces to pressure him into giving up the house. It turns out that this family has long had their eyes on the millions in demolition compensation behind the old house! Upon learning that his father has been humiliated, law student Zhang Hui indignantly returns. Stealing the property deed, forging promissory notes, colluding with outsiders—plot after plot surfaces one after another. One house, two kinds of human hearts; in this contest between family affection and interests, who on earth will have the last laugh?
