A Bowl of Porridge Reveals the Heart
After eating breakfast at the same old restaurant for eight years, Lin Yue is publicly insulted by the owner, Wang Guifen, simply for asking for another bowl of porridge. “Eat if you want, or get out!” she snaps. Lin Yue turns and walks to a quiet breakfast shop at the end of the street, where she finds a comforting bowl of porridge. The new shop wins factory orders through honest ingredients and generous portions, while Wang Guifen grows increasingly desperate and makes one mistake after another, cutting back on meat, shrinking portions, and even risking the use of questionable ingredients. As regular customers leave and her husband grows distant, she stubbornly insists that someone else has stolen her business. Altrimenti, vattene!» Lin Yue si volta e raggiunge un locale per la colazione, tranquillo e quasi deserto, in fondo alla strada, dove assaggia una ciotola di porridge che le scalda il cuore. Grazie agli ingredienti genuini e alla qualità del cibo, il nuovo locale conquista le ordinazioni di una fabbrica. Wang Guifen, invece, più si agita e più sbaglia: riduce la carne, rimpicciolisce le porzioni e arriva persino a rischiare usando ingredienti problematici.
