A Windfall Reveals People's True Hearts
Zhou Lan was widowed at a young age and raised her children alone. After her son passed away, she remained in contact with her daughter-in-law, Fang Min, and her daughter, Zhou Huiwen. When Zhou Lan unexpectedly came into some prize money while away from home, she decided to test their attitudes by pretending to borrow money for living expenses. Zhou Huiwen repeatedly made excuses and misunderstood her mother, while Fang Min took the initiative to care for her and even used her own savings to pay for Zhou Lan's medical treatment. After seeing their true colors, Zhou Lan entrusted her assets to Fang Min to manage. When Zhou Huiwen learned of this, she came to argue, but Zhou Lan presented receipts, records, and adoption documents to explain the facts and establish clear boundaries. Zhou Lan rimase vedova in giovane età e allevò i figli da sola.
