A Daughter Bounces Out of a Seashell, Calls Me Dad
A poor fishing family is pushed to the brink by Third Master Bao, who cuts off their ice supply, dumps dirty water on them, and takes over their fishing grounds. Their fortunes change when the father rescues a little girl from the sea who can hear the ocean speak. With her guidance, they catch giant yellow croakers, discover a cold spring, set up offshore fish cages, and even catch a golden lobster in the deep sea. After an inspection, the coast guard confirms that they have not crossed any restricted boundaries and grants them a permit for protected fishing. Third Master Bao's misdeeds are exposed and he is investigated. The little girl is officially welcomed as their daughter, and the family comes to regard the sea as both their livelihood and a beloved member of the family.

Una familia de pescadores pobres se ve acorralada por el Tercer Señor Bao, que les corta el suministro de hielo, vierte aguas residuales sobre ellos y se apropia de sus caladeros. Su suerte empieza a cambiar cuando el padre rescata del mar a una niña pequeña capaz de escuchar hablar al océano. Gracias a sus indicaciones, consiguen pescar grandes corvinas amarillas, descubrir un manantial de agua fría, instalar jaulas de cultivo en alta mar e incluso capturar una langosta dorada en las profundidades. Tras una inspección, la guardia costera confirma que no han sobrepasado los límites permitidos y les concede un permiso de pesca con protección especial. Las fechorías del Tercer Señor Bao salen a la luz y este es investigado. La pequeña es reconocida oficialmente como hija de la familia, que empieza a considerar el mar tanto su sustento como un miembro más de la familia.
