Qin Yuchuan, the chairman of a multi-billion conglomerate, disguises himself as a construction worker earning 5,000 a month at a matchmaking corner to avoid women seeking his fortune. Ridiculed by onlookers, he is defended by Chen Hui, a warm and straightforward noodle shop owner. Captivated by her, Qin Yuchuan lingers at her shop as an odd-job laborer, even forcing his son to pose as a hooligan to protect his cover. Amid trouble from local thugs and rumors from Chen Hui's ex-husband Zhao Lei, Qin Yuchuan secretly protects her. When his identity comes to light, Chen Hui feels deceived, but Qin Yuchuan swallows his pride to win her heart. Resolving past hurts, they run the noodle shop together and find a cozy, lasting love.
