College graduate Lu Chen returns to his hometown to support local farmers and start an agribusiness. Based on agricultural meteorology, he predicts a catastrophic freezing rain is imminent, urging the entire village to harvest cabbages overnight and offering a guaranteed purchase price. However, the villagers fall for the profiteer Lao Jin's lie about buying 'frost-kissed cabbages at high prices', tearing up agreements and hurling insults at Lu Chen. When the ice and snow melt, thousands of acres of cabbage rot into foul-smelling slime, and Lao Jin takes advantage to slash prices. Driven to desperation, the villagers kneel and beg Lu Chen to save them. Sticking firmly to cold-chain standards, he purchases only qualified, hand-stripped cabbage hearts, reviving the village while standing by contracts and his bottom line.
