Half a Life of Wind and Frost, at Last Finding Someone to Stand By and Protect
At the age of 50, Zhou Zhiguo worked delivering food to raise his adopted son Zhou Kai. Yet Zhou Kai forced him to hand over the house, snatched the money meant to save his life, and threatened to ruin his job. Later, Zhou Zhiguo saved a little girl named Niannian, and a birthmark on the back of his neck was recognized by Zhou Qing, Vice General Manager of the Xie Group — it turned out Zhou Zhiguo was the long-lost husband of Xie Wanqin, founder of the Xie Group, missing for twenty years. Zhou Kai and Sun Wanwan refused to accept this; they secretly took photos, edited footage, and framed him for accepting millions in kickbacks, launching a nationwide online smear campaign. At the family recognition banquet, Zhou Zhiguo played recordings and produced bank records; the Discipline Inspection Commission and Zhao Hai publicly clarified the truth, and the so-called kickback scandal was completely overturned. Xie Wanqin announced to all that Zhou Zhiguo was her husband; Zhou Kai and Sun Wanwan were defeated.
