Relying on his exceptional seafaring skills and honest character, he starts from a dilapidated wooden boat named Prosperity and builds his way up. After surviving the dangerous adventure at Ghost Gate Reef, he establishes Haisheng Ocean Fisheries Co., Ltd. and leads the local villagers to prosperity. Eventually, at a prestigious seafood expo, he astonishes everyone with a gigantic golden giant grouper, the undisputed king of fish, and donates it to a scientific research institution. From an orphan who was bullied and oppressed to a leading figure in the fishing industry, Zhao Haisheng achieves an extraordinary comeback, while the greedy Zhao Jingui and his son suffer the consequences of their own actions and end up bankrupt and destitute.

Grâce à ses compétences maritimes exceptionnelles et à son honnêteté, il commence avec un vieux bateau en bois délabré baptisé Chengfeng. Après avoir survécu à une aventure périlleuse au récif de la Porte des Fantômes, il fonde Haisheng Ocean Fisheries Co., Ltd. et conduit les habitants de son village vers une prospérité commune. Finalement, lors d'un prestigieux salon des produits de la mer, il stupéfie tout le monde en présentant un gigantesque mérou géant doré, le roi des poissons, qu'il offre ensuite à un institut de recherche scientifique. D'orphelin opprimé, Zhao Haisheng devient une figure emblématique de l'industrie de la pêche. Quant à Zhao Jingui et à son fils cupides, ils finissent ruinés et misérables, victimes de leurs propres agissements.
