United Hearts, Breaking the Cage
Seven months pregnant, Xu Zhixia accidentally discovers that her husband, Jiang Xu, is cheating on her, uncovering a secret that has been buried for years. Her father-in-law, Jiang Min, has also been unfaithful during his marriage and even brings his illegitimate daughter, Tang Zhining, home to live with them. Zhao Xiuru has spent decades working tirelessly for her family, only to be treated by her husband as a free housekeeper. While kindly tidying Tang Zhining's room, Zhao Xiuru steps on a piece of fruit peel and suffers a fall that leaves her with a fracture. Yet her husband and son coldly shirk responsibility and refuse to take her to the hospital. Having finally seen through the heartlessness and hypocrisy of the family, the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law join forces to gather comprehensive evidence of infidelity, illegal transfers of marital assets, and disciplinary violations.
