Sangpo Wind Rises, Feathered Person Returns
Xu Wanhe, a weaver's daughter in Sangpo, saves Qi Zhao, a severely wounded man of the feathered tribe. Her sister-in-law discovers that his golden feathers can weave heavenly priced Liuguang Brocade, and actually colludes with the shopkeeper of Jinsheng Zhuang to abduct him, imprisoning him in a dark room to harvest his feathers alive. Betrayed by her elder brother and sister-in-law for money, Wanhe ventures into danger alone—stealing keys, walking through dark conduits, making fake feathers, and gathering evidence, finally bringing the evidence of crimes to the public court. After the villains are brought to justice, she cuts ties with her family of origin, moves into an old house, and weaves the first piece of cloth belonging to herself with her own hands. Wind rises in Sangpo, the feathered person returns, and she finally becomes her own master.
