Sans issue, elle a postulé pour devenir nounou à domicile afin de s'occuper de Lele, le fils taciturne et autiste de l'homme influent Fu Chen. Grâce à sa douceur, elle a lentement guéri l'enfant et s'est taillé une place au sein de la famille Fu. Son ex-mari est venu à plusieurs reprises pour l'humilier et la harceler, mais Fu Chen s'est interposé à chaque fois pour la protéger, lui proposant un mariage de convenance afin de l'isoler des tracas. S'accompagnant jour et nuit, tous deux sont tombés amoureux ; Lin Wan est sortie de la souffrance de son mariage, a repris ses études et sa carrière, a abandonné son passé insupportable et a fini par s'unir à Fu Chen et Lele pour bâtir un petit foyer stable et chaleureux.
