Xiao Zhenbei, the mighty general of Wuwei in ancient Shazhou, is driven to the brink while defending the city. While going to the latrine, he unexpectedly travels to a modern metropolis. To save the soldiers and civilians of Shazhou, he uses his extraordinary strength to take odd jobs carrying building materials and earning money in the modern city. He purchases food, clothing, medicine, motorcycles, and other supplies, then transports them back to ancient times using his ability to travel between worlds. As he experiences modern life and meets people such as Peng Shui and Zhu Qingfeng, he also returns to Shazhou to fight bandits, comfort the people, and face the harsh winter and threats from foreign enemies.
